Tentfold is an app for people who sell their work at art and craft fairs. It is made by Veltra Studios LLC (“we”). This page says what we keep, why, who helps us run it, and how to delete it.
The short version: we keep what you put in so the app works on your phone and the website. We don’t sell it, we don’t show ads, and we don’t track you across other apps or sites. You can delete everything from Settings at any time.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address and a password (stored scrambled; we can’t read it).
- Your business: its name, your home state, and the address you give for your studio, if you give one. We use the address to work out mileage and sales tax.
- What you sell: pieces, their photos, sizes, prices, costs and how many you have.
- Your shows: names, dates, places, booth fees, expenses, pack lists and the counts you record.
- Your sales: what sold, for how much, when, and how it was paid (cash, card, Venmo and so on). When you ring up a card sale on your own card reader we only record that it was a card sale. We never see or store card numbers.
- Your devices: a random ID for each phone or browser you use, so sales from two phones at the same booth don’t clash.
- Messages you send us from the help page, with the email address you give.
We don’t collect your location, contacts, or anything about your customers beyond the sale itself.
Why
Only to run Tentfold for you: keep your phone and the website in step, work out what each show earned, suggest what to pack, estimate sales tax, and answer you when you write to us. We don’t use your data to advertise to you or anyone else, and we don’t sell or rent it.
Totals across vendors
To give a brand-new vendor a sensible first pack list, we add up how many of a size sell at a show across vendors with similar work (for example, coastal photographs under $75). Only the totals are used: a typical number and how many vendors went into it. A total is only used once at least 20 different vendors are in it, so no one vendor’s sales can be worked out from it. Your name, shows, prices and customers are never shared with other vendors. Once you have a show of your own, your pack lists come from your own sales.
Who helps us run it
A few companies process data for us, only to provide their part of the service:
- Supabase stores your account, data and photos.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Anthropic looks at a piece’s photo when you add one, to describe it (subject, medium, colors) so new pieces get a sensible pack number. Only the photo is sent. Anthropic doesn’t train its models on it.
- ZipTax looks up the sales tax rate for a show’s address.
- Mapbox turns an address into a place on the map to work out driving distance.
- Stripe handles payment for a paid plan, if you have one. Stripe holds your card details, not us.
We may share information if the law requires it, and only as much as it requires.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. When you delete your account (Settings, then Delete my account, on the phone or the website) we delete your business, its shows, sales, pieces and photos, and your login, right away. Copies in our backups are overwritten within 30 days.
Your choices
- See and change your data any time in the app or on the website.
- Delete your account and everything in it from Settings.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or anything else about this policy, from the help page.
Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have more rights, such as to know, correct or delete what we hold. We honor those requests for everyone.
Security
Everything travels encrypted. Your data is kept separate from every other business with database rules that only let your account read it. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects your data, we’ll tell you.
Children
Tentfold is for running a business and isn’t meant for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll say so in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
